Costco’s 'Fabulous' Fan-Favorite Plant Is Finally Back, and Shoppers Say They 'Need This Beast'

13 August 20253 Mins Read

A few years ago, fiddle leaf figs seemed to be everywhere. The Instagramable plants developed a massive fanbase, and people were willing to shell out big bucks to add them to their home decor. Then they seemed to become too expensive for many people, and they sort of disappeared for a while. Fortunately for anyone who has been hoping that they would come back around again, Costco has just brought back the beloved plant with a cult-like following, and they’re selling it at a totally reasonable price.

Best of all, these plants come pretty well established, which means you’ll be getting a hearty and healthy plant when you head to the bulk store. Curious to know more about Costco’s fiddle leaf figs? Keep reading as we share everything we know about the return of the viral plant.

Fiddle Leaf Fig 3 Gallon, $77.99 Costco

Unknown title

The retailer is selling Fiddle Leaf Fig 3 Gallon, 2-pack for just $77.99. The website says that this plant will reach between 5-10 feet when it’s fully grown, and it should be kept away from cold air, too much sunlight, and overwatering.

“Bring the Forest Indoors With This Easy to Care For Houseplant,” the website says. “Native to tropical environments, the fiddle leaf fig makes the perfect houseplant! With bright green foliage shaped like violins, this plant loves bright indirect light. Place in a sunny spot in your home and keep away from drafty windows or vents. Bring the forest indoors with this easy to care for houseplant. “

The Fiddle Leaf Fig Has a Large Following

In a post about the return of the fiddle leaf fig, a popular Instagramer shared her tips for keeping the plant looking healthy and growing strong.

“They’re back ready to give fiddle leaf fig another try? Here’s my tips: Tons of light. Add a grow light if you don’t have a large unobstructed south facing window. Do not repot. At least wait a few months (it’ll be ok!). Only water when it’s completely dry. Use foliage pro fertilizer every time you water. That’s it! Clean the leaves occasionally to remove dust too.”

Fans of the plant jumped into the comments to get more info. “What fertilizer do you use? I bought a mini one compared to yours a couple weeks ago,” one person asked.

Another shared that their plants started doing well when they added more moisture, writing, “Mine loved my humidifier.”

Of course, these plants are known for needing very specific conditions to thrive, so it’s good that this pro was up to sharing everything she knows about caring for fiddle leaf figs and creating a welcoming environment online where people could ask their questions and get some tips.

Hopefully they all head to the store to get their own fiddle leaf figs soon though, because based on how popular these plants are, we can’t imagine they will last for long in stores!
