In the snapshots, Caruso—who portrayed Lieutenant Horatio Caine on the CBS series from 2002 to 2012 until the show was canceled—had much longer hair than fans are used to seeing. He also wore glasses and donned a decidedly more casual outfit compared to his acting days filled with police uniforms.

Caruso’s last acting credit was CSI: Miami. Before that, he appeared in NYPD Blue, Proof of Life, Hill Street Blues and more. In 1994, he snagged a Golden Globe for his role in NYPD Blue.
Since he quit acting, Caruso opened an art gallery in Westlake Village but it has since closed, the Daily Mail reported.
Although fans likely had to do a double take after seeing the recent photos, hopefully Caruso is happy and doing well in his retirement.
