Summer is just about here, which means it’s time to take advantage of the longer days and let the good times roll. If attending a concert is on your summer 2025 bucket list, do yourself one better by attending one of the many music festivals across Alberta.

No matter what genre you prefer, there’s something for everyone this summer. Here’s a glimpse of what — and more importantly, who — will be rolling into Wild Rose Country until the end of August.

This Calgary classic is for the cool kids. Catch headliners like Yaya Bey, Tops, Zola Jesus, and more at diverse venues across the city.

When: June 18 to 22, 2025
Where: Multiple venues in Calgary

Canada’s longest running all-Canadian music festival is back for its latest iteration, featuring names Blackie and the Rodeo Kings, 54-40, and more.

When: June 20 and 21, 2025
Where: Four Seasons Park — Box 3280 Station Main, Beaumont

Ya like jazz? Then head on down to one of the many Edmonton venues playing the best of modern jazz music across the nine-day festival.

When: June 21 to 29, 2025

When the Badlands Music Festival arrives, you know it’s truly summer. Let the good times roll with Disclosure, RL Grime, Zedd, and more.

When: July 3 to 13, 2025
Where: 725 9th Ave. SW, Calgary

Despite the name, there’s music for everyone at the Cowboys Music Festival. This year’s headliners include Macklemore, Thomas Rhett, Fall Out Boy, and The Chainsmokers. Can I get a yee-haw?

When: July 3 to 13, 2025
Where: Cowboys Park — 1220 9th Ave. SW, Calgary

It’s the most fun you can have with your boots on! Enjoy ten days of shows at Nashville North, the Coca-Cola Stage, the Big Four Roadhouse, and the Saddledome.

When: July 4 to 13, 2025
Where: Stampede Park, Calgary

Enjoy the rock of yesterday and today with Pat Benatar + Neil Giraldo, Tom Cochrane, J.D. Fortune Rocks INXS, and JJ Wilde at Prince’s Island Park.

When: July 9, 2025

The beloved music extravaganza is back and features the likes of Dengue Fever, Sierra Ferrell, Skinny Dyck, and other indie acts.

Where: Prince’s Island Park — 698 Eau Claire Ave. SW, Calgary

It’s always a good time at the Big Valley Jamboree, where country legends and up-and-comers alike have a chance to shine. This year’s headliners include Bailey Zimmerman, Blake Shelton, Jason Aldean, and Ashley McBryde.

When: Aug. 7 to 10, 2025
Where: Gallagher Park — 9505 96th Ave. NW, Edmonton

Hope you didn’t retire your cowboy hat quite yet, because this honky-tonkin’ festival requires one last hoe-down. Dance your boots off to performances by Cody Johnson, Old Dominion, and many more.

Where: The Confluence — 740 9th Ave. SE, Calgary
