Dawson’s Creek and Boardwalk Empire actor Michael Pitt was arrested on May 2, according to an arrest record obtained by Parade.
Pitt was arraigned in Brooklyn Supreme Court on two counts of first-degree sexual abuse, per the New York Post. The charges are said to stem from “four domestic incidents that allegedly took place between April 2020 and August 2021,” according to TMZ.
According to the arrest record, Pitt was released on bail the same day as his arrest. His attorney Jason Goldman later gave a statement to TMZ.
“Unfortunately, we live in a world where somebody like Mr. Pitt — an accomplished professional who would never so much as contemplate these crimes — can be arrested on the uncorroborated word of an unhinged individual,” Goldman said.

“In reality, this baseless claim is suspiciously raised some four or five years after the alleged incident, at a time when the two parties were in a completely consensual and voluntary relationship. This case will be dismissed,” he added.
Pitt played the role of Henry Parker on Dawson’s Creek from 1999 through 2000. He also portrayed Jimmy Darmody in 24 episodes of Boardwalk Empire. According to his IMDb page, he last starred in the film Reptile back in 2023. He has a few upcoming projects listed, including a lead role in the true-crime film You Can’t Win.
Pitt hasn’t spoken out about the arrest or the related charges. He does appear to have an Instagram account, but he’s hardly active. His last post was uploaded in January.
