Deadpool VR makes a villain of John Leguizamo

20 August 20252 Mins Read

The Deadpool VR game turned up during Gamescom 2025’s Opening Night Live, and while developer Twisted Pixel didn’t show too much from the upcoming superhero game, there was one pretty big piece of news: actor and comedian John Leguizamo (Ice Age, Encanto, John Wick) will provide the voice of Deadpool’s nemesis, Mojo.

Mojo wants to make a reality TV show, so he recruits Deadpool to rope in the best of the best. “The merc with a mouth just signed a brand new contract with Mojo, the biggest name in intergalactic streaming,” the game’s official description reads. “There’s just one problem: he didn’t read the fine print. Because come on, who does that? Now, he’s off to “recruit” (aka kidnap) some of the toughest villains in the Marvel Universe.”

Those villains include Lady Deathstrike, Mephisto, Omega Red, and Ultimo. But Deadpool’s got more than just his handguns to help get the job done. You’ll unlock a plethora of weapons inspired by the Marvel univere, and since this is Deadpool, they’re all a bit silly. That’s not Mjolnir he’s swinging. It’s Mojo-nir, a “Mojo-ified” version of Thor’s hammer. There’s some normal(ish) stuff too, like rocket launchers, a sniper rifle that can fire tiny humans in addition to bullets, and some slick-looking dual blades Deadpool can pull out when the need arises.

“Experience all this in a way only Deadpool can,” the description continues. “Ever dreamed of destroying a helicopter with a jeep? How about using your own amputated limbs as a weapon? Strap on those swords, load your guns, pack your grenades and take Deadpool for a wild ride through the Marvel Universe.”

Deadpool VR will launch for Meta Quest 3 and Meta Quest 3S on Nov. 18.
