Tallulah Willis isn’t letting anyone speak ill of her mother, and she’s not holding back in the process.
It all started after her mom, newly-minted Golden Globe winner Demi Moore, stopped to say hello to actress Elle Fanning during the Jan. 5 awards ceremony.

The Ghost star approached Fanning’s table, who was seated with her A Complete Unknown co-stars, including Timothée Chalamet and his date, Kylie Jenner.
A video of the interaction was shared by the official Golden Globes TikTok account, with some fans speculating that Moore snubbed the Kardashians reality star. But Willis took to her Instagram Story and said that isn’t what happened, reports Entertainment Weekly.

The youngest of Moore’s three daughters with fellow actor Bruce Willis shared a screenshot of an entertainment story that insinuated that Moore ignored Jenner, accompanied by a message that was “nipping this straight in the bud.”
“We spent new year with Elle, so connecting with her after a win was a very organic thing to do,” she wrote. “This angel was in total shock and delight and moving throughout a warm room of well wishers,” Willis said, explaining that there was no “snub of any sort.”
Willis further noted that had her mother realized that Jenner was trying to congratulate her, “she would have fully given her the time and space.” She concluded by asking that people “give it all a break and let a gal enjoy her accomplishments!”
Though Willis and her sisters weren’t at the Golden Globes to celebrate their mom’s big win in person, they cheered her on from afar and documented the moment.
In a video posted on social media, the three Willis daughters, along with family friends, can be seen crowding around a television and anxiously watching the moment when Moore’s category was called.
They jumped and shouted with joy when Moore was announced as the winner for Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy for The Substance, celebrating the big moment gleefully.

This was the first major acting award win for Moore, who first rose to fame in the 1980s.
“I’ve been doing this a long time, like over 45 years, and this is the first time I’ve ever won anything as an actor. Thirty years ago, I had a producer tell me I was a ‘popcorn actress,’” Moore said in her acceptance speech before sharing that she was celebrating the prize “as a marker of my wholeness and of the love that is driving me. For the gift of doing something I love and being reminded that I do belong, thank you so much.”
