What to expect from Diablo 4 Season 14
Among the new content arriving in Diablo 4 season 14 is a new storyline focused on a Death Cult that appeared in Zarbinzet and you must investigate the group’s origins. To begin the first quest, “A Gospel of Despair,” you’ll need to travel to Kyovashad. Since this season is called the “Season of Death Awakening,” and Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred‘s ending left us wondering what is next for the story, this quest line will likely give us a good idea of what to expect from Diablo 4‘s narrative.
If you haven’t picked up the Lord of Hatred DLC yet, the first week of Season 14 might be a great opportunity for you to check one of the expansion’s key features: the Warlock class. From June 30 to July 7, you can create a Warlock and play it up to level 30. Another important event taking place in the season is the Overwatch collab. By obtaining the Eye of the Overwatch special currency, you can exchange it for cosmetics.
When it comes to systems and mechanics, Season 14 comes with the quite controversial change that removes Unique as an item rarity tier and turns it into a modifier that Mythic items may feature. In other words, you don’t need to design your whole build around a Unique item. You can simply craft a Mythic item into what Blizzard calls a “Mythic Unique” by adding the Unique affix to a Mythic piece of gear.
