Dick Van Dyke, 100, Celebrates 14th Anniversary With Wife Arlene Silver, 54: ‘She’s Mine!'

Dick Van Dyke and his wife, Arlene Silver, are celebrating their 14th wedding anniversary.

The legendary actor, 100, known for iconic films like Mary Poppins, Bye Bye Birdie, and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, also made a name for himself in beloved series like The Dick Van Dyke Show and Diagnosis: Murder. Silver, 54, whom Van Dyke met at the SAG Awards, shared a sweet video of the couple, who wed on Feb. 29, 2012, as they sat in bed together.

“I have a very special guest today to celebrate a very special day. My husband is here!” said Silver in the Instagram Live, as Van Dyke sat next to her in bed.

“I’m not really shorter, I’m just lying down on the bed,” laughed Van Dyke before saying, “Hi, she’s mine!”

The couple went on to read comments and questions from fans and followers through the Instagram Live session as they snuggled alongside each other in bed.

Honoring His Wife on Her Birthday

Back in September, Van Dyke was captured on video at his wife’s 54th birthday party explaining how he met her at the Screen Actors Guild Awards in 2006.

“I’ve never seen a more beautiful woman in my life than this one. She walked by and, without even thinking, I jumped up and said, ‘Hi, I’m Dick,’” he recalled. “And I found out she was a makeup lady, hired her, and now we’ve been married 13 years, and I couldn’t be happier.”

The legend presented his wife with a cake and serenaded her with “Happy Birthday” several times.

The Couple Loves to Host Celebrations

This past Halloween, Van Dyke watched with awe as Silver, dressed as Ursula from The Little Mermaid, performed at the couple’s annual Halloween show.
