Super Bowl LX’s Halftime Show made history with its first all-Spanish set. Bad Bunny shared his Puerto Rican pride on a national stage, reminding the audience that America is a continent. He shouted out all the countries within it. Jake Paul claimed he was boycotting the event, but had a very different tone the next morning.

The 29-year-old influencer turned boxer tweeted, “Purposefully turning off the halftime show[.] Let’s rally together and show big corporations they can’t just do whatever they want without consequences (which equals viewership for them)[.] You are their benefit. Realize you have power. Turn off this halftime. A fake American citizen performing who publicly hates America. I cannot support that.”
Logan Paul responded to his brother’s message. “I love my brother but I don’t agree with this Puerto Ricans are Americans & I’m happy they were given the opportunity to showcase the talent that comes from the island,” he tweeted and quoted his brother’s tweet. The boxer started to address his previous tweet on February 9.
“The problem with my tweet is the word fake being misinterpreted he’s not a fake citizen obviously [because he’s] Puerto Rican and I love Puerto Rico and all Americans who support the country,” he wrote. “Moreso Bunny is fake [because] of his values and criticism of our great country.” Paul later claimed he loves Puerto Rico and lives there. “But if you’re publicly criticizing ICE who are doing their job and openly hating on America, I’m going to speak on it. Period. That’s the same reason I called out Hunter Hess,” he tweeted.
Paul’s next tweet, four hours later, has a very different tone. “Guys [I] love bad bunny idk what happened on my twitter last night ?? wtf,” he wrote. The world has a very different reaction from Paul. Apple Music revealed the performance is the most-watched Super Bowl performance with 63 million across different forms of content, including live streams and social media clips.
