MINERAL WELLS, Texas – A driver who reportedly fell asleep behind the wheel crashed into an Amazon delivery truck in North Texas.
A doorbell camera captured video of the crash, as well as the Amazon driver’s concern for his customers.
What we know:
The crash happened on Monday afternoon on NW 4th Avenue in Mineral Wells.
Mineral Wells police said a driver fell asleep behind the wheel and crashed into an Amazon delivery truck.
Both drivers suffered only minor injuries, police said.

What they’re saying:
Homeowner Kristy Miller’s doorbell camera captured video of the crash. She said when she went to check on the drivers, the Amazon driver asked her, “Did you get your package?”
“He had just made a delivery to my neighbor’s house, and so I had just seen him get back in his car and drive off. Then not even two minutes later I hear a huge boom outside and hear him screaming out there,” added Stormy Lovern.
That driver, Dashon Holloman, was in good spirits while talking to a FOX 4 reporter on the phone. He is a Fort Worth husband and father of two who is new to the company.
He said Amazon was helpful after the crash. And he stayed to make sure everyone got their packages before going to the hospital for a minor knee injury.
“We’re thankful both drivers are safe and appreciate the customer’s concern and immediate assistance after this incident,” an Amazon spokesperson said in a statement.
What’s next:
Mineral Wells police are treating the crash as an accident.
They said the driver who was at fault was returning home from work. They do not believe alcohol was a factor.
