Disney Store’s New ‘Mickey Mouse Club’ Collection Goes Retro in the Best Way

29 September 20254 Mins Read

Who’s the leader of the club that’s made for you and me? M-I-C-K-E-Y-M-O-U-S-E!

If you couldn’t help but sing along, then you’ll love Disney Store’s latest launch, an homage to the iconic Mickey Mouse Club in honor of the show’s 70th anniversary.

Disney Store Goes All in on Mickey Mouse Club’s 70th Anniversary

Mickey Mouse Club first delighted fans back in the 1950s, launching a group of talented young singers and actors into instant fame (we’re looking at you, Annette Funicello). New versions of the show emerged in the 1970s and 1980s, before it was rebranded as MMC, where future music superstars like Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, and Justin Timberlake showcased their talents. Acclaimed actors like Ryan Gosling and Keri Russell also got their starts on the show, which leaned into 1990s trends.

But back in the first iteration of the program, the wholesome children’s show’s aesthetic was all about Mickey Mouse, down to adorable hats with mouse ears worn by the cast, who were known as Mouseketeers. Now, Disney Store’s new collection, whose launch coincides with the show’s 70th anniversary, is going all in on the retro look.

The collection, which will be available starting on Friday, October 3, on DisneyStore.com, features more than 20 different products, ranging from apparel to toys, that evoke a nostalgic love of all things classic Disney.

Adults and Kids Get Retro-Cool Clothing in This New Launch

There’s a jacket for adults that features an oversized Mickey Mouse Club logo on the back that says “member,” while the front clarifies that the wearer is actually an honorary member of the club. The navy blue jacket also features a special anniversary appliqué patch on the front.

Disney Store’s ‘Mickey Mouse Club’ 70th anniversary includes apparel for adults like ringer tees and zip-up sweatshirts.

Kids get a red crewneck ringer sweatshirt with the same Mickey Mouse Club logo on the front, and the ringer motif continues with white ringer T-shirts for both kids and adults. The adult version has navy ribbing with the Mickey Mouse Club logo adorning the front, while the kids’ version has red ribbing and “Mickey Mouse Club” written in a retro font. That same design is transferred over to a red crewneck sweatshirt for adults.

There’s a spirit jersey for adults that proudly proclaims that the wearer is an “official Mouseketeer” on the back, and a red zip-up hoodie and blue long-sleeved T-shirt for women.

A fluffy blue sherpa varsity jacket for kids with red sleeves and a darling M (for Mickey, of course) appliqué on the front rounds out the apparel, though there are plenty of additional items to choose from, including a Mouseketeer hat for adults, a Mickey Mouse Club baseball cap for adults, and a Mickey Mouse Club 70th anniversary canvas tote.

Mickey Mouse Club Collectibles Pay Homage to the Show’s Beloved Traditions

If you’d rather show your allegiance to the Mouse with your drinkware, there’s a white coffee cup with the Mickey Mouse Club logo. It even comes with a matching sculpted Mouseketeer ear hat lid to keep drinks hot!

There’s also a darling Mickey Mouse Club Christmas ornament that looks like a vintage drum, and a Mickey Mouse plush toy that has the Disney character dressed as a bandleader. Squeeze his hand to hear the Mickey Mouse March theme song soundtrack!

Disney Store’s ‘Mickey Mouse Club’ 70th anniversary plush doll and Mickey Mouse figurine.

Disney fans love their collectibles, and this launch delivers, from a musical Mickey Mouse figurine, again in the bandleader uniform, to a playable, premium replica of the original “Mousegetar.”

If you want a limited-edition item, there’s also a collectible Mouseketeer doll, complete with a show-accurate outfit, cowboy hat, Mousegetar, and replica talent certificates just like the “Special Talent Award” certificates handed out by Walt Disney on the original show. Only 3,570 copies of the doll have been made, per Disney Store.
