DoubleTree by Hilton has reached two significant milestones: the opening of its 700th hotel and expansion into its 60th country and territory. The brand’s growth over the past year has included notable firsts in Nice, Laos, the Azores Islands, and Malta.

DoubleTree by Hilton has announced the opening of its 700th property, marking a significant expansion into 60 countries and territories. The past year has seen the brand welcome over 40 new properties, including first-time entries into Nice, Laos, the Azores Islands, and Malta.

This recent expansion means DoubleTree by Hilton has a presence extending beyond the Americas into new international markets. Over the past 13 years, the brand’s global presence has increased more than tenfold, highlighting its commitment to providing hospitality services to business and leisure travelers worldwide.

DoubleTree by Hilton’s growth is expected to continue, with over 240 hotels currently in development. The brand’s portfolio includes upcoming first-in-country debuts in various markets.

In the Europe, Middle East, and Africa region, where DoubleTree currently operates more than 150 hotels, the brand plans to open its second resort property in Egypt, the DoubleTree by Hilton Mangroovy El Gouna Resort, and bolster its presence in Northern Ireland with the DoubleTree by Hilton Derry-Londonderry. In North Africa, the DoubleTree by Hilton Casablanca City Centre is set to debut in Casablanca.

The brand has 115 properties in the Asia Pacific region. Expansion will continue in China, with new hotels planned for rapidly growing cities like Zhengzhou and Yanji.

DoubleTree by Hilton has also contributed significantly to Hilton’s growth strategy by converting existing properties into the DoubleTree portfolio. In the first quarter of 2025, conversions accounted for approximately 40% of Hilton’s nearly 200 new openings.

Key openings that have accelerated the growth of DoubleTree by Hilton to 700 properties across 60 countries and territories in the past year include DoubleTree by Hilton Tokyo Ariake in Japan, DoubleTree by Hilton Addis Ababa Airport in Ethiopia, and DoubleTree by Hilton Guang’an in China.

Other notable entries include DoubleTree by Hilton Nice Centre Iconic in France, DoubleTree by Hilton Vientiane in Laos, DoubleTree by Hilton Malta St. Paul’s Bay in Malta, DoubleTree by Hilton Lagoa Azores in Portugal, and DoubleTree by Hilton Kars Sarikamis in Turkey.
