Build Group, in collaboration with CMG Financial and 300 Venture Group (3VG), has started construction on a new hotel in downtown Napa. The project is considered a significant private investment in the area, with the hotel slated to open in fall 2027.
The hotel will feature a design that incorporates a convex frontage on First Street, reminiscent of the original Migliavacca Building, a nod to the historical significance of the site. A public paseo will be constructed to connect First Street with Brown Street and the city’s 9/11 Memorial, integrating the memorial as a central community space.
The development is expected to create numerous local construction jobs and long-term positions in the hospitality sector. Additionally, the project includes financial investment in local affordable housing initiatives, aiming to ensure the benefits of the city’s revitalization are widespread.
The hotel’s design aims to blend in with Napa’s architectural style and expand public gathering spaces, thereby contributing to the city’s cultural landscape. The project is a collaborative effort involving the city, community, and partners, with a focus on enhancing the downtown Napa area’s identity.
