An affogato is an Italian dessert where a scoop of ice cream or gelato is topped with espresso. Now, Dunkin’ is skipping a step and combining the two with a new at-home coffee in an ice cream flavor.
The popular coffee chain has released a new ground coffee that tastes like mint chocolate chip ice cream, and fans have a lot to say about the announcement.

According to the Dunkin’ website, the new limited-edition flavor is a “bold and smooth” dark roast “with the taste of creamy mint and hints of chocolate chips.”
Popular food blogger Candyhunting shared the news on Jan. 27, sharing that they found both an 11 ounce bag of coffee grounds as well as a box of 22 K-Cups of the new flavor at Target.

Fans were divided on the new flavor, with some jumping into the comments to declare, “oh my gosh, i need that mint chip coffee now,” while others were not convinced, commenting, “Um no.”
The food influencer also noted that they spotted the blueberry muffin-flavored coffee in the same size bag and K-Cups, prompting fans to celebrate the news. “Blueberry is my favorite coffee. Get it from Walmart for pretty cheap too,” wrote one fan, and another was even more excited, writing, “Omg yesssss I only had 4 🫐 left and haven’t been able to find them for MONTH.”
The winter-exclusive flavor is a medium roast coffee with “bakery-inspired flavors of blueberry and caramelized sugar notes,” according to the Dunkin’ website.
