Dusit Princess Ipoh will be Dusit’s third branded property in Malaysia. Owned by Plenitude Berhad, the property sits beside the Perak Turf Club and is less than five minutes by car from Ipoh city center. Sultan Azlan Shah Airport is approximately 10 minutes from the hotel and has direct flights from Singapore.
Ipoh is approximately 200 kilometers north of Kuala Lumpur. The city’s historic center includes colonial-era shophouses, kopitiams and local businesses. The surrounding Kinta Valley includes limestone formations and cave temples.
The hotel will have five room categories, from 25-square-meter Superior Rooms to 58-square-meter Family Suites. Rooms will overlook the Perak Turf Club or the city skyline and include high-speed Wi-Fi, smart TVs, bedding, in-room safes and workspaces. Family Rooms and Family Suites will include kitchenettes.
Hotel facilities will include an outdoor swimming pool, Kids Club, self-service laundry, accessible rooms, a prayer room and complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi throughout the property. Guests will also have access to a 6,580-square-foot fitness center with extended opening hours.
The Atrium, an all-day dining restaurant, will serve buffet breakfast items including nasi lemak, roti canai, kway teow goreng and dim sum, as well as continental options. Local and international dishes will be available during the day. The lobby coffee shop will serve teas, coffees, juices, pastries and desserts.
The hotel will have three event venues with approximately 964 square meters of combined event space. The 496.8-square-meter Kinta Ballroom can accommodate up to 400 guests in a theater-style setup or 300 guests for round-table events. The ballroom will include an LED screen, sound system and adjustable lighting. The 383-square-meter Kampar Hall and 84-square-meter Gopeng Room will provide additional event space.
The hotel’s Discover the Soul of Ipoh program will include locally led heritage, food, nature, well-being and family activities. Activities will include photographic walks through Ipoh’s heritage streets, visits to Tambun pomelo orchards and limestone cave temples, food trails featuring Ipoh white coffee and traditional desserts, Labu Sayong pottery workshops, family cooking classes and evening wildlife activities.
