Yellowstone may be over but fans can rest assured the Duttons’ story is not finished. Along with the yet-to-be-named spinoff series to star Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser reprising their roles as Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler, there’s also the modern day spinoff series, The Madison, starring Michelle Pfeiffer and Matthew Fox. Up first is the much-anticipated second season of Yellowstone prequel series, 1923, starring Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren.

Due to premiere on February 23 on Paramount+, 1923 follows the Dutton clan as they continue to settle and expand their land in Montana, fighting any number of enemies including thieves, business tycoons, Prohibition, the Great Depression, as well as the weather. Created by Taylor Sheridan, the series stars Ford and Mirren as Jacob and Cara Dutton. Jacob is the brother of James Dutton (played by Tim McGraw in 1883). Cara and Jacob ultimately take on his brother’s children as their own when both James and Margaret (Faith Hill) die separate deaths.

The newest trailer made its debut during the NFL AFC Division Championship Game and it looks like this season the focus is on Spencer Dutton (Brendan Sklenar), the only living offspring of James and Margaret Dutton. Spencer is desperately trying to make his way back to the ranch after he and his new bride, Alexandra (Julia Schlaepfer) almost drown when their boat capsizes. By the time they reach land, the two are separated with each trying to get back to the ranch they’ll call home.
Along with a harsh winter ahead, the Duttons must fight off the likes of Donald Whitfield (Timothy Dutton) and Banner Creighton (Jerome Flynn) who are determined to take their land.
