Dancing with the Stars pro Cheryl Burke just took a brief hiatus from social media, and when she made her return last night, she shared some emotional and exciting family news!
Her sister just got married, and the family has spent the past week celebrating. As Burke said in the caption on the Instagram post, “This past week felt like time stood still. My baby sister became a wife—and in that moment, the world softened. She was the most breathtaking bride, not just in how she looked, but in the way she loved, the way she gave, the way she glowed.”

Burke continued, “I stepped away from the noise of social media so I could soak in every second—to be fully present for her, for our family, for the quiet, sacred beauty of it all. The emotions ran deep. The kind that sit in your throat and catch you by surprise. And I wouldn’t trade a single moment.”
It can be so tough to put the phone down and just enjoy the moment in this day and age, but sometimes, it’s exactly what we need. Burke gave us a nice reminder of the importance of being mindful and present, especially when it comes to cherished times with loved ones we can’t get back.
