It’s about to be an emotional night on Dancing with the Stars.
According to a reel posted by DWTS pro Emma Slater the audience is in for an “amazing” and “incredible” night for Tuesday’s episode of the ballroom dance competition show as it’s “Dedication Night” where the stars will be performing in honor of someone special to hem.
“I’m the makeup and hair chair, it is Tuesday, it’s dedication night, I just watched pretty much everyones dance at this point, you are gonna need tissues,” Slater said as she was getting glam for the show. “This night you guys is just amazing [and] incredible, so get your family together, get your friends together, enjoy the evening, get some food, make sure you have some tissues on hand. It really hits you here so this is my warning, don’t say I didn’t warn you.”

While the dancers and their celebrity partners have been gearing up for the evening, the stars have been sharing who they’ll be dedicating their performance to and what song they’ll be dancing to.
Starting with Slater and her partner, comedian Andy Richter, the two will be dancing a Salsa to “Jump In the Line” by Harry Belafonte, dedicating the routine to his daughter, Cornelia. Richter has posted behind-the-scenes photos of how she’ll be incorporated into the routine.

Other contestants, including Danielle Fishel and Elaine Hendrix are dedicating their dances longtime co-stars that starred alongside them in their ’90s breakout roles. Fishel will be dedicating her performance to Bill Daniels, who played Mr. Feeny on Boy Meets World, while Hendrix will be dedicating her dance to her on-screen nemesis-turned-real-life-bestie, “Parent Trap” co-star, Lisa Ann Walter.
But perhaps the most emotional dedication fans have been privy to ahead of the episode though is that of Robert Irwin‘s where he’ll be honoring his mother Terri with the song “You’ll Be In My Heart” by Phil Collins.
The young conservationist, Terri, as well as his sister Bindi have all posted about how special the night will be to their family, especially as the legacy of Terri’s husband and the siblings’ dad, Steve Irwin, who died in 2006, has continued to be a huge part of their lives.
“It’s dedication night, week five @dancingwiththestars,” Terri wrote on Instagram earlier this week. “I’m incredibly honored that Robert thought of me. Steve and I always talked about how much it meant to us to be parents. So much love. This will be a special night.”
Dancing with the Stars airs at 8 p.m. ET on ABC or can be streamed live on Disney+.
