'DWTS' Pro Rylee Arnold Addresses Engagement Rumors

Dancing With The Stars pro Rylee Arnold is finally addressing rumors she’s engaged.

In a video shared to TikTok on Wednesday, Dec. 24, the 20-year-old confirmed she was not engaged just yet. Fans began speculating she was after she visited her boyfriend — USC football player Walker Lyons — in his hometown in California and appeared to hide her ring finger in one of their TikToks together.

“There was lots of speculation [from] this trip coming around,” Arnold said. “No, I am not engaged.”

“This is my right hand, this is my left hand,” she continued while holding her hands up to the camera. “And, ringless. Seeing the videos of people thinking I was made me chuckle a little bit.”

Arnold noted that during her trip, she and Lyons attended his family friend’s wedding and went his family’s Christmas party. However, she noted that she recently returned home to Utah to spend time with her family for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

“We did a little staycation in Salt Lake City last night, and that was a good time,” she said. “We ate a yummy dinner, I shopped a little bit, we went swimming and it was just really good to spend time with my whole family all together.”

Arnold also shared her thoughts on Lyons entering the transfer portal, which is an online database where NCAA athletes declare their intent to transfer, allowing other schools to recruit them.

“That is really exciting, and I’m just really excited to see what happens and his next adventure,” Arnold said. “These last couple weeks have, honestly, been super nice. I haven’t had time off like this in such a long time, so it’s been really good to decompress and settle into my place here in Utah.”

A few months ago, Arnold announced she will not be apart of the Dancing With The StarsLive Tour starting in January.

After the tour’s cast was announced during the Tuesday, Oct. 7 DWTS episode, fans immediately noticed the fan-favorite pro was absent from the cast list. On her Instagram Story later that night, the 20-year-old confirmed she was missing it due to her diabetes.

“So sad I won’t be on the DWTS tour this year,” she wrote at the time. “Being on tour the last two years was seriously the most amazing experience ever. I’ve made the best memories and met the best people!!”

“This year I had to make the hard decision to sit it out and focus on my health, especially with managing my Type 1 diabetes which can be tricky on the road,” she continued. “I’m gonna miss it SO much but I’ll definitely be cheering everyone on and can’t wait to come watch!!”

During her Dec. 24 video, Arnold confirmed she will be trying to get an Omnipod during her break from touring. The small, tubeless, wearable insulin pump device delivers insulin continuously for up to 72 hours, eliminating the need for multiple daily injections/
