Earthly Aegis is a tough map to track down in Avowed’s Emerald Stair region. It’s tucked away in a hard-to-find house, and finding the treasure itself involves a bit of investigation. If you prefer playing things safe with a shield in hand, this is one treasure map not to miss.

Where to find Earthly Aegis treasure map
The Earthly Aegis map is in a chest in a house with no doors, south of the party camp in Neku Tadek. That’s the little island full of Exceptional-quality-tier enemies west of Maxim’s Claim. To reach the house, face the camp’s adra pillar, turn left, and climb the ledge to the row of tents. There’s a root jutting out from the area behind the camp stove.
Take a running jump from the root to the opening in the building across the gap, and drop down to the chest.
Earthly Aegis location solution
This map has a couple of solution hints. The first is the squat building it singles out, and the second is the text’s mention of “stealing from a delemgen.”
Delemgen – Avowed’s tree people enemies – live in the Wildwood area northwest of Fior mes Ivèrno. You’ll visit this area during Avowed’s main questline, but if you want to grab the treasure early, travel toward the “Wildwood” label on the map. You’ll eventually reach the Rock Arch fast travel beacon and can either deal with the bears and delemgen there or rush past them up the hill.
At the top of the hill is the house the map pointed out, but the door is sealed. A root extends around the back of the building. Follow it to its end, and you’ll see a crack in the wall through which you can spot the treasure chest and a button.
Press the button to open the door, go inside, and claim the Nature’s Ward shield.

Poison is very common in Emerald Stair, and the chance to expel the condition without consuming your entire supply of springberries is always a good thing. High block efficiency and damaging enemies are helpful extra bonuses, so if you use shields at all, don’t sell this one.
