Another AMC show has just been confirmed for release in the United States in November 2025. All 10 episodes of the first and only season of the Orphan Blacks’ sequel series are scheduled to land on November 13th, 2025.
Set nearly four decades after the events of the main series, Orphan Black: Echoes is now in the early 2050s, with Lucy as the central protagonist trying to regain her memory after her former self underwent a procedure to remove it. The series is set in the same universe as the original, with Sarah Manning’s daughter, Kira, being one of the main characters.
As you may know, the series was swiftly canceled in September 2024. While its Netflix inclusion may offer hope that the streaming service could step in and bring the show to a good conclusion, we’ve seen a lot of licensing over the past few years, and pick-ups have been mostly nonexistent since Manifest.
Who’s in the cast? Naturally, Krysten Ritter is the major draw, with prior credits including Breaking Bad and Netflix’s Nightbooks. She also starred in Jessica Jones for Netflix, although that series departed alongside all the other major Marvel shows. Rounding out the cast are:
- Keeley Hawes (Bodyguard, Line of Duty, It’s a Sin)
- Avan Jogia (Victorious, Now Apocalypse, Zombieland Double Tap)
- Amanda Fix (North of Normal, High School)
- Rya Kihlstedt (Heroes Reborn, Dexter, Home Alone 3)
- Reed Diamond (Agents of SHIELD, 24, Homicide: Life on the Street)
- James Hiroyuki Liao (Barry, The Dropout, Prison Break)
- Jonathan Whittaker (The Expanse, The Umbrella Academy, The Strain)
- Noah Dalton Danby (Defiance, The Book of Eli, Painkiller Jane)
- Jaeden Noel (The Boys, Five Days at Memorial)
- Zariella Langford Haughton (newcomer)
As mentioned at the top, this additional season joins the main mothership, which was licensed in the United States for the first time in September 2025, joining many other regions that also stream the show, including those that have it as a Netflix Original title. That series was licensed for a single year, and we suspect Echoes will also be on Netflix for a short single-year period through the end of 2026.
This is one of two confirmed AMC shows for release in November, with Netflix also set to drop Soulmates, an anthology sci-fi series, on November 6th. You can see the full list of AMC shows on Netflix, including those that departed recently, in our complete guide to AMC on Netflix here.
