CBL Properties has opened the Element by Westin Hotel at Mayfaire Town Center in Wilmington, North Carolina, in a joint venture with Vision Hospitality.

CBL Properties has announced the opening of the Element by Westin hotel at Mayfaire Town Center in Wilmington, North Carolina. The hotel, located on International Drive, features 139 rooms and is the result of a 49/51 joint venture between CBL and Vision Hospitality, based in Chattanooga.

The development is part of CBL Properties’ strategy to diversify the offerings at Mayfaire Town Center, a property the company acquired in 2015. Since then, the center has expanded to include over 100,000 square feet of new retail, dining, and service spaces. Recent additions to the center include Altar’d State Kids, Rowan, and Dave & Buster’s.

In addition to the new hotel, Mayfaire Town Center has introduced several retailers, including Free People and FP Movement, Warby Parker, and Dry Bar. Existing retailers, such as Lululemon and Reed’s Jewelers, have also expanded or remodeled their spaces within the center.

Mayfaire Town Center attracts approximately 5.4 million visitors annually, serving both local and regional customers as well as tourists. The center has experienced sustained sales growth through the second quarter, attributed to the new additions and investments by both CBL Properties and its retail partners.
