LISTEN TO THE PLUGGED IN SHOW, EPISODE 297
Over the course of our podcast, we’ve watched artificial intelligence grow from a novelty to an ubiquitous part of many of our lives. Every time we go online, it seems like, some chatbot is asking us if we’d like their help. But none is bigger or more influential than ChatGPT—a service that, for many, has become more indispensable than Google itself.
But could these chatbots be making us dumber? Lazier? More prone to let AI do our thinking for us?
A study out of MIT suggests that might be the case. What can we do about it? And how, as parents, can we help our kids use ChatGPT wisely? We bat that around with our expert crew: Jonathan McKee, Natalie Dean, Kennedy Unthank and—back after an all-too-long absence—Kristin Smith.
And then we’ll turn our attention to The Bad Guys 2, which rolls into theaters this weekend. Kennedy reviewed the movie for us and had a chance to interview its director, Pierre Perifel.
And then, as always, we’d love to hear your own thoughts. Check in with us on YouTube, Instagram and Facebook. Send us an email at [email protected]. Leave us a voice message on our very own Plugged In Show homepage. Or let us know what you think in the comments section below.
Oh, and next week? We’ll be talking about the best Bible-based entertainment options for your kids. You won’t want to miss it.
