Eric Roberts stepped out for the Hollywood premiere of his new film Clika, marking a rare red carpet appearance for the veteran actor.
The 69-year-old attended the screening at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles on Tuesday, January 20, where he posed for photos and greeted attendees. For the event, Roberts wore a black blazer over a graphic T-shirt, paired with gray jeans, black sneakers, and glasses.

Roberts stars in Clika, which is set to be released Friday. The film follows a small-town musician who pursues success in the Mexican-American music scene after a performance video goes viral. His costars include Alison Chace, Master P, Peter Greene, and VivianLamolli.
Several other familiar faces were also present at the premiere, including Danny Trejo, Victoria La Mala, Cristian Concrete, and Laura Lopez. Chace also attended the event, wearing a white blazer over a black lace top, tailored slacks, and a fedora.
In recent years, Roberts has remained busy with independent film and television projects. He also released his memoir, Runaway Train: Or, the Story of My Life So Far, in September 2024, which revisits both his lengthy career and his complicated family relationships.

The actor has previously addressed past comments he made about his sister, Julia Roberts, including remarks in which he appeared to take credit for her success.
“If it wasn’t for me, there would be no Julia Roberts and no Emma Roberts as celebrities, as actresses, and I’m very proud of that,” Roberts said in a 2018 interview with Vanity Fair. “When Julia first came to New York, I went into William Morris and I said, ‘Which one of you is going to sign my sister Julia?’”
He continued, “And I am so proud that everybody knows I was first, because I was first by a long shot. I was first to get Golden Globe and Academy Award nominations, so I’m proud of that.”

In his memoir, Roberts later walked back those statements, writing, “One of the things I’d like to apologize for in this book is for publicly saying on more than one occasion, ‘If it wasn’t for me, there would be no Julia Roberts.’ That’s not only unfortunate, but it’s also untrue.”
He added, “I hope Julie will accept this more public apology. It was an asinine thing to have said.”
Clika opens in theaters Friday.
