From a localized version of Physical: 100 and a remake of The Good Wife to live boxing events and Diego Luna’s latest satire, here is your comprehensive guide to the Mexican titles coming to Netflix in 2026.

Netflix continues to double down on its investment in Latin America, and the 2026 slate for Mexico is arguably one of its most ambitious yet. The streamer is blending high-stakes drama with major format adaptations and venturing further into live sports entertainment.

We have confirmation on at least 12 new titles set to drop over the next 12 months, featuring massive talent including Gael García Bernal, Diego Luna, Alfonso Herrera, and boxing legend Saúl “Canelo” Álvarez.

Here is a breakdown of the new Mexican movies, series, and documentaries coming to Netflix in 2026.

Against the Hurricane (Contra el huracán)

Type: Movie
Release Window: 2026

Against The HurricaneAgainst The Hurricane

Set off the coast of Acapulco, the survival thriller film, based on a true story, follows Wirpul and his half-brother Candi, who are caught at sea when an unexpected storm rapidly intensifies into Category 5 Hurricane Otis. Described as a story of brotherhood and inequality, the film is directed by Jorge Michel Grau. The cast includes Benny Emmanuel, Kristyan Ferrer, and Mónica del Carmen.

The Circle (El Círculo)

Type: Series
Release Window: 2026

Los Corruptores – Cr. Juan Rosas / Netflix © 2025

Formerly known as Corruptores, this political thriller looks to expose the rotten underbelly of the elite. Based on the book by Jorge Zepeda Patterson, the story kicks off when four friends get embroiled in a scandal linking the Secretary of Defense to the murder of a famous actress.

What starts as a quest for justice turns into a dangerous game where the line between right and wrong—and friendship—becomes blurred. Osvaldo Benavides stars as Jaime, Michel Brown as Tomás, Zuria Vega as Amelia, and Raúl Briones as Mario.

Netflix’s sports documentary library continues to grow. This feature-length film follows Saúl “Canelo” Álvarez as he prepares for the fight that will define his legacy: the trilogy match against Gennady “GGG” Golovkin. Produced by Stephen Curry’s Unanimous Media, the doc promises an intimate look at the pressure, criticism, and values that drive one of Mexico’s greatest boxing icons.

El Otro Padre

Type: Series
Release Window: 2026

In this intense family drama, a graduation party turns into a nightmare when a young woman named Julieta suffers a life-threatening health crisis. Her mother, Maca, is forced to make desperate decisions and face buried secrets from the past to save her.

Produced by Mar Abierto Productions, the series stars Manolo Cardona (Who Killed Sara?), Erik Hayser, and Silvia Navarro.

Physical 100: México (Habilidad Física 100: México)

Type: Reality Competition
Release Window: 2026

The Korean survival show Physical: 100 was a global phenomenon for Netflix, and now Mexico is getting its own adaptation. The concept remains the same: 100 participants in peak physical condition—wrestlers, boxers, firefighters, and Olympians—compete in a pre-Hispanic arena to see who has the “perfect physique.”

The series is produced by Endemol Shine Boomdog.

Takedown (La Captura)

Alfonso Herrera (Ozark, Sense8) stars in this high-octane police thriller set on the highways of Sinaloa.

Herrera plays Arturo Carmona, a federal officer partnered with the unpredictable Héctor Rosales (Noé Hernández). What begins as a routine traffic stop of a stolen car spirals out of control when they realize they have accidentally apprehended one of the world’s most dangerous criminals.

Alicia’s Law (La Ley de Alicia)

Type: Series
Release Window: 2026

If the premise of a politician’s wife returning to law after her husband’s sex scandal sounds familiar, that’s because this is the Mexican adaptation of the hit CBS drama The Good Wife.

Alicia must rebuild her life and career at a law firm owned by her college sweetheart while her husband, a Supreme Court Justice Minister, sits in prison. The series explores whether she will return to her old life or reinvent herself entirely.

Lovesick (Mal de Amores)

Release Window: 2026

Based on the novel by Ángeles Mastretta, this period drama is set against the backdrop of the Mexican Revolution. It tells the story of Emilia Sauri, a woman born into a liberal family ahead of its time.

The series parallels Emilia’s personal growth with the violent birth of a new Mexico, weaving history and politics through her intimate relationships. The cast features Renata Vaca and Humberto Zurita.

Diego Luna produces and stars in this satire chronicling the chaotic and “outrageous gamble” that led Mexico to secure the hosting rights for the 1986 World Cup. Directed by Gabriel Ripstein, the film frames the historic sporting achievement as a feat made possible only through “pure Mexican ingenuity” and dark humor. Karla Souza co-stars.

While the country is distracted by the World Cup, ten-year-old Miguel finds a boy living in a hole near an abandoned house. Believing the boy is a ghost, Miguel strikes up a friendship that eventually exposes a terrifying secret involving his own parents and the village adults.
