Every Tesla Cybertruck in U.S. recalled and Canada could be next

20 March 20252 Mins Read

Tesla is recalling 46,096 Cybertrucks in the U.S. — or in other words, all the Cybertrucks it’s ever sold in the States. As of the time of writing, there is no equivalent Canadian recall, but due to its widespread nature, we’d expect the recall to apply to Canadian Cybertrucks soon.

The recall is over the metal trim falling off above the doors. This long metal piece is attached using a subpar adhesive that wasn’t holding up to the elements. Once the trucks go in for the recall, the company is replacing the adhesive holding the metal rail onto the truck with something that can better hold up.

According to Electrek, Tesla still hasn’t made this fix to the Cybertruck assembly line but is hoping to implement it around March 21. These trucks won’t be shipped to customers until they’re fixed.

Here’s why so many Tesla Cybertrucks are suddenly being spotted in Torontohttps://t.co/k8JsekW5SI

This is the eighth recall on the Cybertruck and the second one to feature outside trim falling off in the short time that the truck has been on the roads. One of the first recalls was related to the accelerator getting stuck, which is super dangerous for a giant vehicle that can move as fast as the Cybertruck.

Perhaps the most revealing thing about this new recall is how many Cybertrucks Tesla has actually sold.

During the accelerator recall in April 2024, the company had only managed to sell around 4,000, but now that number is up over 46,000. You’d think that the constant recalls and the public’s perception of the vehicle would slow it down, but it appears that people are still falling for the American automaker.
