Everything to know about Edmonton’s upcoming electronic music festival

1 September 20252 Mins Read

Get ready to jump to your feet and dance at this upcoming music festival in Edmonton!

DSTRKT25 is Edmonton’s premier electronic music festival, featuring popular artists within the genre, such as Kaytranada, Excision, and Kream. This festival will take over Fan Park in the Ice District on Sept. 5 and 6 for the ultimate celebration. For two days, this party is never-ending, and the fun never stops.

Here’s what you need to know ahead of the festival this September.

What to expect

Fan Park is going to be transformed into a multi-stage playground, where these DJs and artists will work their magic. The Phase 1 lineup has already dropped. The festival will be headlined and led by two of the scene’s most influential artists: Kaytranada and Excision.

Kaytranada is Montreal’s resident Grammy-winning producer and DJ, having performed his own legendary Boiler Room set and multiple festivals like Coachella and Glastonbury. Matching his excellence is none other than dubstep and drum and bass champion, Excision. He’s known for his stage productions and thrilling live sets, which are sure to blow up Fan Park.

These two headliners make for two showstopping performances already, but the diverse lineup of Hedex, Deathpact, Kream, and more makes for an unforgettable night.

On Friday, the gates open at 4 p.m., and on Saturday, the gates open at 3 p.m.; both nights conclude at 11 p.m., offering a full evening of electronic excellence.

Whether you’re a seasoned EDM fan or just starting to get into the genre, this festival is going to blow your mind. With the summer winding down and Edmonton’s downtown in full swing, the energy in Fan Park will be unmatched.

Tickets are already on sale, but be informed: this event is adults-only, meaning only those 18 and above can experience the beats.

Check it out, and stay tuned for the announcement of DSTRKT25’s Phase 2 artists!

When: Friday, Sept. 5, 2025, to Saturday, Sept. 6, 2025
Time: Gates open on Friday at 4 p.m. and Saturday at 3 p.m.
Where: Fan Park — 10104 104th Ave. NW, Edmonton, Alta.
