The minds behind HBO’s Billions, Brian Koppelman and David Levien, are working on a brand-new series for Netflix, centered on the fictional president of the hottest casino in Vegas. Producing the series is Academy-Award winning director Martin Scorsese. Here’s everything we know about the new Vegas series on Netflix.

The New Untitled Vegas Television Series is an upcoming drama created by Brian Koppelman and David Levien, the creators of HBO’s Billions and co-writers on the heist comedy Ocean’s Thirteen. The duo will serve as showrunners, writers, and executive producers on the series.

Also confirmed as an executive producer is the legendary filmmaker Martin Scorsese, who is no stranger to Las Vegas or Netflix, thanks to his 1995 film Casino and 2019 film The Irishman. Scorsese produces through his production company Sikelia Productions. Julie Yorn (Hell or High Water) and Rick Yorn (Reptile) are executive producers for Expanded Media, and the remaining executive producers are Paul Schiff (Awake), Beth Schacter (The Morning Show), and Kerry Orent (Michael Clayton), who serves as co-executive producer.

What is the plot of Vegas?

Netflix has provided a synopsis for the series:

“The hourlong drama is set in the high-stakes, sharp-elbowed present-day Las Vegas casino business, which is a modernized but still dangerous version of the legendary city. At the center of which stands Robert “Bobby Red” Redman, president of the hottest hotel casino in town, who has to make some long odds moves to try and secure his position and take more ground.”

Who are the cast members of Vegas?

Almost four months on since the series was officially announced, and there is still no casting news or rumours.

We expect a cast announcement soon.

What is the episode count?

Netflix has already confirmed that the series will have 8 episodes.

Each episode will have an approximate runtime of 60 minutes.

What is the Vegas production status?

At the time of writing, Vegas is still in pre-production, having been since Netflix’s December 2025 announcement.

However, an update from issue 1495 of Production Weekly suggests filming is being eyed for a May 2026 start. But we must clarify that filming schedules are subject to change, and there’s no official confirmation that filming will begin in May.

When is the Netflix release date for Vegas?

Until we have confirmation on the filming schedule, it’s tough to speculate when we’ll see the series on Netflix.

If filming gets underway in 2026 and wraps before the end of the year, there’s a good chance we could see the series on Netflix before the end of 2027.

As it stands, we’d expect to see Vegas on Netflix in either late 2027 or early 2028.
