HFTP announced the winners of the HFTP Fall 2025 Blog Competition. The caliber of submissions this season was truly impressive, showcasing thought-provoking articles from talented graduate students in the hospitality industry.

This semester, four top-scoring articles were selected by the judging panel to be published on the  HFTP Connect blog over the next few months:

1st Place

2nd Place

  • Bo Frédérique van den Bosch – Check-in, Clock-out — Hospitality that Moves with the Nomad Lifestyle

  • Gaspard Bizeul – Give the Right to Be Right: Free Will, Algorithms, and How Hotels Can Design Real Choice

  • Lucas Dupont – Selina Hotels: When the Digital Nomad Dream Met Financial Reality

  • Nikolas Skrivanos – How Luxury Hotels Are Expanding into Yachts and Airlines to Grow Their Brands

3rd Place

Congratulations to the winners for their exceptional work and dedication to advancing the field of hospitality. This competition continues to be a platform for emerging talents to showcase their research and insights on critical industry topics. We are grateful to all participants for their valuable contributions.

About the HFTP/MS Global Hospitality Business Student Blog Competition

This project is sponsored each academic semester by the  Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP®) Foundation  for students participating in the Master of Science in Global Hospitality Business program, a partnership between the Conrad N. Hilton College of Global Hospitality Leadership at the University of Houston, the School of Hotel and Tourism Management at Hong Kong Polytechnic University and the EHL Hospitality Business School. Each semester, participating students are asked to focus on a critical hospitality industry topic and submit their study as a blog article. Upon completion, a group of judges selected by HFTP including industry experts and leaders review and vote for the competition winners.

We commend the winners on their exceptional articles and look forward to sharing their insights with the broader hospitality community.

As part of their recognition, the top-scoring students will receive a complimentary one-year HFTP Young Professional Membership (valued at $200 USD) to support their ongoing professional growth and networking within the hospitality industry.

Stay tuned for the publication of the winning articles on HFTP channels over the coming months.
