Megan Moroney and Tate McRae are showing that they really are the girls—and fans are enthusiastically wishing for a future collaboration.
On September 11, the country star, 27, joined the “Greedy” singer, 22, onstage for a duet of Moroney’s 2025 hit single, “6 Months Later.” The duet took place during McRae’s show at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee, as part of her Miss Possessive Tour.
“This has kinda become some sort of fun tradition that we’re doing on my tour. I’m so excited to announce a special guest. I’m such a massive fan. Give it up for Megan Moroney!” McRae said as she introduced “The Girls” singer, per The Tennessean.
Early the following morning, Moroney—who is currently on her Am I Okay? Tour— shared a selfie of the pair on Instagram, writing, “@tatemcrae girls!”

Fans praised the rising superstars in the comments, with one writing, “YES YES YES BEST SURPRISE EVER.”

Have Moroney and McRae Performed Together in the Past?
In addition to their “6 Months Later” duet, Moroney and McRae performed the former’s 2022 breakout hit, “Tennessee Orange,” at the Ascend Amphitheatre in Nashville on August 6, 2024. The duet took place during the “You Broke Me First” singer’s Think Later World Tour.
The following day, McRae posted a clip of the duet on TikTok, along with the caption, “Oh how i love her.”
