Fans think Vancouver is featured in Taylor Swift’s new ‘Fate of Ophelia’ music video

6 October 20252 Mins Read

Swifties have put on their sleuthing hats since the release of The Life of a Showgirl last week, and despite mixed reactions to the album, many are keen on uncovering the hidden clues — or Easter eggs — Taylor Swift leaves for fans.

Is Vancouver an Easter egg?

Could Vancouver be one of Swift’s notorious Easter eggs? Some Swifties think so! They’ve been hard at work, dissecting each and every song lyric, melody, and visual to piece together what might be next for one of the world’s best-selling artists.

Some have been clipping the newly released “Fate of Ophelia” music video on TikTok, which appears to reveal a glimpse of Vancouver’s Science World right at the end.

Where is the reference?

In what some fans are calling her “best music video yet,” Taylor is shown dancing across one room into another, passing by a window that may be a nod to Vancouver at the 3:42 mark.

“The key was left in Vancouver; it was the last stop. So Vancouver still has it until the next era,” reads one top comment.

“It’s definitely Science World. I walk by there every day,” reads another.

Not only was Vancouver the last stop on the Eras Tour, but the official fan account, Taylor Nation, posted this August that a “key” was lost in Vancouver. The theory that the city is significant to her new music and potential upcoming tours is one that is widely accepted and discussed across the fandom, and some of the ideas here go deep into Swift’s material and past performances.

Others say that the visual is supposed to be a Ferris wheel, referencing a lyric from “Eldest Daughter.”

What do you see at the 3:42 mark? We’ll leave it to the most dedicated Taylor Swift fans to decide and decode!
