Farm Boy unveils Ontario customers’ favourite Private Label products for 2025

5 June 20253 Mins Read

Farm Boy has just announced the winners of their fifth annual Fan Faves contest.

Fans of the beloved Ontario fresh-market grocer voted for their favourite Farm Boy products across 13 delicious categories that include bakery finds, deli delights, pantry staples, and more.

The contest spotlights the private label items Ontario customers love and “A Farm Boy Fresh Twist” on the food experience. Since the Farm Boy label means these products are always going to come with quality, freshness, and taste amazing, there were a lot of awesome options in the running!

So, without further ado, here’s a look at some of this year’s winners — and a little inspiration for your next grocery haul.

Top tier snacks

When it comes to snacks, who doesn’t love chips!? Farm Boy Kettle Cooked Potato Chips took the crown in the “Pantry Staples” category, and it’s not hard to see why.

Made from Canadian-grown russet potatoes and cooked in small batches, these chips are crisped to perfection and seasoned just right.

On the list for another year in the “Un-Brie-lievable Cheese” category is Farm Boy Triple Cream Brie Cheese — and trust us, this is a cheese board staple for a reason.

Since we’re in early summer, there’s no better time to snack on a fresh, juicy strawberry, which took home the “Produce Hero” category. Pair these snacks with Farm Boy Organic Lemonade, and you’ve got a snack time worth craving.

Sweet treats to savour

Life is better with a sweet treat (or three), and Farm Boy has no shortage of options!

Winning in the “New Favourites” category was Farm Boy Ice Cream Bars. These handheld delights are coated in decadent milk chocolate to form the ultimate ice cream bar. They come in two flavours: Caramel Peanut Crunch and French Vanilla.

Dinner must-haves

Need a meal in a pinch? Taking the win in the “Chef-Made Must-Have” category is Farm Boy Fresh & Ready Soups. Farm Boy makes over 20 soup flavours from scratch in its own kitchens using wholesome ingredients. Each bowl is hearty, nourishing, and delicious.

And in the “Freezer Finds” category, the winner is none other than Farm Boy Perogies — an easy go-to. Just boil, pan-fry, and add your favourite toppings or sides for a satisfying bite.

Scoring big in the “Deli Delights” category is Farm Boy’s Premium Roast Turkey Breast — tender, flavour-packed, and perfect for your next sandwich stack or snacking board.

Other dinner heroes include returning fave Farm Boy Gourmet Burgers, which won “Butcher Shop Bullseye” for a second year, and Farm Boy Coconut Shrimp, the fan pick in “Shrimply the Best Seafood.” That’s dinner, sorted.

The all-time local fave

Ready to see what took home the “All-Time Local Farm Boy Fave” and crowned the best-of-the-best? Hint: It’s a classic, nostalgic Canadian treat featuring deep pockets of gooey butter tart filling, baked in crumbly shortcrust pastry…

You guessed it, it’s Farm Boy Butter Tarts — claiming its second win this year in “Bake Shop Delights,” these sweet treats ended up taking home the gold!

Crafted in Toronto, flavours include Maple Butter, Classic Butter, and Raisin Butter. It’s definitely worth trying one of each!

Got some winning bites added to your shopping list? Find your nearest Farm Boy location and try some of these Farm Boy Fan Faves winners for yourself.
