‘Fear Factor’ is making a comeback and it’s casting Canadians for the new season

3 June 20253 Mins Read

In 2001, the world watched in horror as contestants on a brand-new game show faced their greatest fears. A couple of close calls, a cancellation, and a few short-lived revivals later, and it’s back. Miss shocking reality TV? Fear Factor is currently casting brave Canadians for an upcoming season.

Ready or not, here they come

Described as “bigger, bolder, and more daring” than ever, the iconic series will soon make its big comeback, and you could be a part of the action, but it will be a little different this time around.

Produced by Endemol Shine North America and set to air on Fox, the upcoming season will be based on the original, but reimagined for a new audience.

“Dropped into an unforgiving, remote location, a group of strangers will live together under one roof, and face mind-blowing stunts, harrowing challenges and a twisted game of social strategy where trust is fleeting — and fear is a weapon,” explains Fox.

“This is Fear Factor: The Next Chapter.”

How to apply

Think you’ve got what it takes?

If you’re over the age of 18 and are a U.S. or Canadian citizen, you can apply now for what’s being called the most “extreme” reality show of all time.

In order to toss your hat into the ring, you’ll need to send in two photos and a video explaining what would make you such a great fit, be available between August and mid-September to film, and have a valid passport, so be prepared.

Videos should be one to two minutes long and be true to you.

“No need for crazy stunts or screaming,” reads the casting call.

“Just show us your authentic personality and what makes you stand out. We want to hear about your life, your fears and why you’d be an ideal candidate for the Fear Factor cast.”

At the time of publication, they have yet to announce a premiere date, but we hope to see you on our small screens when it hits the air.

Good luck and have fun with it. This could be the start of something exciting… terrifying, but exciting.

Enjoy!
