We’ve all been there. It’s time to kick off an epic weekend with a round of shots and someone grabs a bottle of Fireball.
The popular whiskey isn’t for the faint of heart as it goes down like a cinnamon inferno. But the whiskey brand is dialing back the burn with five new flavors.
Two of them keep its signature cinnamon with a twist, and the other three are all about less heat and more sweet to win back those who found the original pour too hot to handle.
Fireball Enters The Dessert Game
Three new flavors might have Fireball loyalists scratching their chins, wondering what in the world the company is doing with its new lineup.
The most familiar new addition would be its Cinnamon Roll flavor, sticking close to its roots with a heavy dose of cinnamon and vanilla icing notes.
But the next two are complete wild cards: French Toast and Banana Bread.
Don’t expect a Fireball bakery to pop up any time soon, but the famed whiskey distiller is clearly not afraid to push boundaries — or its customers’ taste buds to the brink.
As Sporked points out, sometimes liquor with a heavy hand on sweetness can come across too try-hard and syrupy, making it tough to throw back like the original blend.
Once Fireball updates its website, expect this trio of off-the-wall concoctions to inspire a fresh batch of cocktail recipes.
Two New Sweet ‘n Spicy Flavors
Fireball and shots go hand in hand — literally. But, good luck convincing your buddies to throw back ‘Banana Bread’. Pineapple & Cinnamon and Peach & Cinnamon are easier sells.
Those are Fireball’s other upcoming flavors. Their fruit-forward profiles should help absorb the traditional spice, the same way mango and Tajin mix so well for margaritas.
Unlike French Toast, the tropical, fruity subtlety should make these more suitable for your shot glass to enjoy Fireball the way most do — in one big, fiery gulp down the hatch.
