Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced the completion of a $115 million renovation at the Grand Hyatt Scottsdale Resort. Previously known as Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Gainey Ranch, this property is Arizona’s first Grand Hyatt hotel.
The extensive renovation includes an update of all 496 accommodations, including 18 luxury casitas and the ultra-luxe, two-story Gainey House. The latter features a private entrance, driveway, patio, barbeque, and impressive pool views. The variety in room types caters to different guest needs, with options ranging from residential-style luxury casitas to king and queen bed accommodations and accessible rooms.
The resort has introduced six dining experiences headed by celebrated chef Richard Blais. The four new food and beverage concepts are La Zozzona (Modern Italian Chophouse), Tiki Taka (global small plates), Mesa Centrale (Southwestern grill), and Grand Vista Lounge (lobby bar). Two new poolside concepts – Sandbar and H2Oasis – have also been added to the resort’s offerings.
Guests can enjoy an upgraded 2.5-acre pool complex with ten unique swimming pools, a sand beach, a three-story, high-speed waterslide, and a tranquil whirlpool spa. The resort also offers a beachside putting green, adding another layer to the guest experience.
In mid-September, the resort debuted its refreshed Spa Avania, which aligns treatments with the body’s natural daily rhythms. The spa features 19 treatment rooms and a Himalayan Salt Room, among other amenities.
Outdoor experiences include winding jogging paths, scenic bicycle trails, and complimentary bikes. The resort also offers 27 holes of championship golf at the adjacent Gainey Ranch Golf Club, two lighted tennis courts, and eight pickleball courts.
Lastly, the resort has revitalized its 14,000-square-foot Vaquero Ballroom and will unveil its grand Arizona Ballroom in January 2025. The expanded Arizona Ballroom will join the completely renovated meeting and event spaces to house 90,000 square feet of indoor/outdoor function space.
