First Hospitality Names Jack Meakin Vice President of Business Development

In Brief: First Hospitality has appointed Jack Meakin as Vice President of Business Development, tasking him with driving the company’s growth through new management contracts and development opportunities.

Meakin will focus on First Hospitality’s portfolio growth through new owner relationships and strategic opportunities across the United States. He will lead phases of the development process with internal development and operations teams and evaluate investment opportunities for hotel management agreements.

Meakin has nearly a decade of hospitality development experience, including growth in third-party management agreements, strategic partnerships and hotel portfolio expansion. His responsibilities include identifying opportunities related to hotel management agreements and working with ownership groups.

Before joining First Hospitality, Meakin was vice president of business development, Midwest & Southeast, at Hotel Equities, where he led third-party management growth initiatives and worked with executive leadership on forecasting and strategic planning.

He previously served for three years as regional director of business development, Midwest & Southeast, at Hotel Equities. Meakin directed development efforts across a 15-state territory and secured 28 third-party management agreements during that period.

Meakin began his tenure at Hotel Equities as a management trainee at the Residence Inn by Marriott in Dunwoody, Georgia. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management from the University of South Carolina.
