IHG Hotels & Resorts, in partnership with Park Avenue Property Company Limited, has announced its first property in Hat Yai, Thailand’s largest city in Songkhla, marking its entry into a new destination. The internationally branded 160-key Holiday Inn Express Hat Yai will open in 2027.
IHG Hotels & Resorts has partnered with Park Avenue Property Company Limited to establish its first property in Hat Yai, the largest city in Songkhla, Thailand. The 160-key Holiday Inn Express Hat Yai, set to open in 2027, will be the first internationally branded hotel in Hat Yai.
Vivek Bhalla, Managing Director, South East Asia & Korea, IHG Hotels & Resorts, noted that this expansion will introduce the world’s largest hotel brand to Hat Yai, increasing IHG’s presence to eleven destinations across Thailand.
Prawit Phongprapat, Managing Director, Park Avenue Property Company Limited, said, “Holiday Inn Express Hat Yai is our first venture into the hotel segment, and we are excited to work with the IHG team.”
Holiday Inn Express Hat Yai is a 25-minute drive from the Hat Yai International Airport and a 10-minute drive from the city center. It features facilities such as a 24/7 Express Café & Bar, fitness centre and meeting facilities.
Holiday Inn Express is IHG’s largest and fastest-growing hotel brand, with over 3,000 open properties worldwide, and over 340,000 rooms spanning more than 50 countries.
Thailand remains a key growth market for IHG, with 39 open hotels across nine brands and 33 properties in its pipeline. The company aims to double its portfolio nationwide in the upcoming years.
