Five Below's Super Cozy Faux Fur Throws Feel So Luxe, Shoppers Can't Believe They're Only $7

15 October 20253 Mins Read

Particularly when the temperatures drop (or you have the air conditioning cranked), there’s little that’s more comforting than a super soft throw blanket. It’s like wrapping yourself in a soothing hug and kind of elevates whatever it is you’re doing—reading, napping, bingeing Netflix. What’s wild to me, however, is how expensive some throws can be. I’ve seen Barefoot dreams throw blankets priced as high as $165. Don’t get me wrong, they’re like being cuddled by a cloud, but that is pricey.

All I really need is a blanket that’s soft to the touch and cute enough to stay stylishly draped over the back of my favorite reading chair. That’s really not too much to ask. So, as I do when I’m looking for the more affordable version of anything, I checked out Five Below for blankets and they did not disappoint.

Right now Five Below is selling a Luxe Collection Ripple Fur Throw in either gray or pink, and they feel absolutely divine. I’m partial to the pink, because that’s just how I roll, but the gray probably fits more color palettes. It’s a pretty standard size for a throw, measuring 50 inches by 60 inches. But really, you just can’t beat that $7 price for something this soft.

Now if you’re wondering what the heck “ripple fur” is anyway, don’t feel bad, I had to look it up myself. It’s essentially a super-soft faux fur fabric with a wavy, rippled pattern. In a way it’s kind of like if corduroy and sherpa had a really chic baby. I realize that sounds funny but it’s so true. The ripples are what give the blanket a dimensional look that catches the light and adds visual warmth, so even neutral colors feel luxe. Plus, who doesn’t love to add a little texture to their space?

In order to get the most out of your throw when you aren’t yourself completely wrapped up in it, there are a few of different ways to style it.

First there’s what I like to call “the clean drape.” This is when you fold the blanket into thirds lengthwise and drape it over the back of your sofa or over the arm of a chair.

Then we have the basket roll. It’s exactly like it sounds—you’re maybe folding the blanket in half length wise once, then rolling it up to stack in a storage basket. How many times you initially fold it before rolling really depends on the size of the blanket.

And, finally, (this is probably my favorite) there’s the bed accent fold. You know the look—when a throw blanket is very stylishly strewn across the end of bed in fancy home catalogs? You’ll fold your throw in half lengthwise, then in thirds widthwise. It may sound like blanket origami but, really, it adds such a polished look.
