Five Guys Is Opening a First-of-Its-Kind Location in Las Vegas

Five Guys is bringing a first-of-its-kind dining experience to downtown Las Vegas, and it includes a major “brand first” that loyal fans haven’t seen in the company’s 40-year history. The burger giant has officially confirmed it will open a new location at the Plaza Hotel & Casino, marking the end of a decade-long search for the perfect spot on Main Street.

Unlike any of the nearly 2,000 other locations worldwide, this outpost will debut a specialized Five Guys hot dog cart this spring. Situated under the Plaza’s iconic glass dome near the Carousel Bar, the cart will serve the brand’s signature all-beef dogs—split, grilled, and served on toasted buns—to capture the high-energy foot traffic of Fremont Street. The addition of an outdoor grill cart specifically for the Vegas nightlife crowd is a clever pivot that could set a new standard for future flagship locations.

The main restaurant, slated to open in Summer 2026, will be a 2,200-square-foot space on the casino floor designed for both indoor and outdoor dining. The venue will feature a 60-seat capacity with a patio overlooking Main Street, catering to both visitors and local residents with daily hours from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. This opening marks the brand’s 40th anniversary and serves as its 12th location in the state of Nevada.

This announcement comes on the heels of another massive move for the brand: the recent opening of a 10,000-square-foot flagship on the Las Vegas Strip at the Grand Canal Shoppes. While the Strip location offers “boozy” milkshakes and an all-day breakfast menu, the Plaza location is betting on the classic Fremont Street “grab-and-go” experience with its innovative hot dog cart. This dual-threat expansion into the city’s most visible corridors signals a new era for Five Guys as it adapts its classic menu to the unique energy of Las Vegas.
