Florida’s Iconic Don CeSar Hotel Completes Multi-Million-Dollar Renovation and Opens Royal Ballroom

The Don CeSar has completed a multi-million-dollar renovation of its public spaces and introduced the new 7,400-square-foot Royal Ballroom following restoration efforts after the 2024 storms.

The Don CeSar has reopened with redesigned first-floor amenities and refreshed dining outlets, including Society Table and Rowe Bar, following a multi-million-dollar renovation after the 2024 storms. The project also updated boutique retail spaces, outdoor areas, pools, pool decks, landscaping, furniture, the facade, the courtyard, the Health Club, and the Don Club.

The new Royal Ballroom spans 7,400 square feet and is available for weddings, galas, corporate events, and other large gatherings. The venue offers views of the gulf and St. Pete Beach, with an adjacent Grand Ballroom Foyer and Veranda. Amenities include customized menus, décor, entertainment services, audiovisual capabilities, and event support.

Dining options at The Don CeSar include Maritana, which features contemporary Spanish-inspired cuisine focused on Gulf seafood and locally sourced ingredients. Society Table, led by Chef Susan Burdian, serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner with dishes such as grouper tacos, crab cakes, flatbreads, and shareable plates. The Rowe Bar offers a sports bar setting with smoked wings, burgers, and cocktails. The Rowe Pavilion, adjacent to the Rowe Bar, will open soon with outdoor seating, fire pits, and water views.

Additional outlets include the Lobby Bar, a 1920s-inspired cocktail lounge with live music; Beacon Pool Bar & Lookout, serving poolside fare and cocktails; and Uncle Andy’s Market, which offers coffee, pastries, gelato, sandwiches, snacks, wine, spirits, dog treats, and candies. The culinary program is overseen by Executive Chef Alexander Reyes and Executive Pastry Chef Amanda Santos.

To celebrate its 98th anniversary, The Don CeSar is offering a package for guests staying two nights or more. The package includes rates starting at $429 per night, up to 15 percent off the best available rate, a one-time $98 resort credit, and a 10 percent discount at Spa Oceana and retail shops. The promo code for the package is “Anniversary.”
