Former Child Star Fans Are 'In Awe' Over 'Incredible' New Career Move

30 May 20252 Mins Read

Former child star Alyson Stoner is celebrating an “incredible” achievement on the path to a new career, and fans could not be happier for them.

The Disney personality marked a big step in their journey as a mental health professional for their second career, officially becoming a “Child actor turned… trauma support specialist” with their latest certification.

Stoner took to Instagram this week with a smiley selfie alongside their new certificate, issued by the Arizona Trauma Institute, while revealing that they’re already pursuing an impressive seventh to “become a Mental Health Coordinator for film/tv/stage productions.”

Other trainings they’ve undergone have focused on “trauma-informed somatic movement, interpersonal neurobiology, racialized trauma, and suicide prevention.”

This is actually Stoner’s 10th year “pursuing a second career in the mental health field.” They’ve opened up about the trauma that accompanied being a child star in recent years and has been a vocal advocate for instilling legal protections for young actors—and their fellow entertainers and fans alike couldn’t be more “proud” of the work they’re doing.
