Four Canadian hotels were just named among the best in the world

7 October 20252 Mins Read

Canadian travel is so in right now! The Condé Nast Traveller Reader’s Choice Awards have been revealed for 2025, naming the best hotels in the world. According to CN Traveller, the readers cast “an astonishing 757,109 votes in the 38th annual Readers’ Choice Awards survey, sharing opinions on the very best in travel.”

Four Canadian hotels cracked the global ranking — two in Montreal, one in Ottawa, and one in Newfoundland and Labrador.

So, if you’re staying in-country for an upcoming vacation, consider these spots.

Coming in at number 28 out of 50 is Le Petit Hôtel in Old Montreal.

The boutique hotel is one of the smallest in the area, thus the name, boasting just 28 rooms.

The greystone building is gorgeous, a perfect place to stay in Montreal’s most historic district.

Where: 168 Rue St-Paul Ouest, Montréal, Que.

Another boutique hotel makes the list, this one in Ottawa.

Known for its modern take on elegance, the hotel also features a fine dining restaurant.

“You’ll sleep well, work easily, and be right in the middle of things,” CN Traveller adds.

Where: 123 Metcalfe St., Ottawa, Ont.

This hotel in Montreal is the only one on the St. Lawrence River.

A cozy lounge, inviting elegant rooms, gourmet dining — what else could you need?

Where: 97 Rue De La Commune E., Montréal, Que.

My jaw dropped when I saw photos of this place.

Fogo Island Inn is a remote five-star hotel that dreams are truly made of — located in Newfoundland and Labrador.

“Floor-to-ceiling ocean views await in our 29 one-of-a-kind rooms, which include full-board services and amenities,” shares the spot.

Where: 210 Main Rd., Joe Batt’s Arm, N.L.

Do you think any Canadian spots were missed?

I don’t know about you, but a vacation is callin’ my name! If you want to see the full list of the Condé Nast Traveller Reader’s Choice Awards winners, you can do so online.
