Four Seasons Hotel Mexico City has introduced renovated rooms and suites as part of a project coinciding with the hotel’s 32nd anniversary. The renovation, led by Mexican designer Bibiana Huber, includes a redesign of all 240 accommodations, comprising 200 rooms and 40 suites, including three specialty suites. The first phase is now open to guests, with the complete reveal of all accommodations scheduled for mid‑2026.

The renovation incorporates contributions from artisans and workshops across Mexico, including Mexico City, Guadalajara, Michoacán, Cancún, and Durango. These contributors provided exclusively designed pieces for the rooms and suites. Materials used include locally sourced stone, marble, wood, woven textiles, ceramics, forged metals, and blown glass. Elements such as carved wood credenzas, sculptural lighting fixtures, copper pieces, and decorative objects are featured throughout the accommodations.

Artists and workshops involved in the project include José Noé Suro, as well as specialists responsible for hand-painted basins, leatherwork details, metal hardware, hammered copper plates, blown-glass pieces, ULA Light luminaires, and Michoacán-inspired decorative pineapples created by Marva Studio. Art and textiles were also incorporated, featuring works by Fernanda Mereles and Pedro Arturo, as well as pieces designed by Arozarena de la Fuente that reinterpret traditional textile techniques in contemporary compositions.

The rooms feature a color palette of neutral tones, sands, and beiges, with accents of green and burgundy. Bathrooms in all 240 rooms have been renovated to include natural stone and marble, such as red marble from Durango, and artisanal elements like hand-carved stone mats and hand-painted double vanities. The renovation also includes upgrades to the hotel’s infrastructure, with improvements to electrical, hydraulic, and climate systems.

The design process began approximately two and a half years before construction. In addition to the rooms and suites, the hotel’s uniforms have been redesigned by Mexican fashion designer Kris Goyri, reflecting the property’s updated aesthetic.
