Four Seasons Hotel and Residences Cartagena is now accepting reservations for stays ahead of its scheduled opening in spring 2026.
Four Seasons Hotel and Residences Cartagena has begun accepting advance reservations ahead of its planned spring opening. The property is located in the Getsemani neighborhood of Cartagena, Colombia, near the historic Walled City and across from the convention center.
The hotel comprises 131 guest rooms and suites, including 27 Spanish colonial-style accommodations and 104 contemporary-style rooms. Among these are 18 rooms situated around an interior courtyard in the former cloister, a two-bedroom Presidential Suite named the Catroux Suite, and the three-bedroom Casa Ambrad suite with a rooftop plunge pool. The development also includes 15 private residences.
The project incorporates several historic buildings, including the 16th-century San Francisco cloister and temple, a collection of theaters, and the 1920s Club Cartagena. Restoration and design work involved multiple firms and individuals, including French designer François Catroux, design studio SBM, WATG, Wimberly Interiors, AvroKO, principal architect José María Rodríguez, and restorers Ricardo Sánchez and Angelina Vélez. Local artisans and international partners contributed to furniture, textiles, and garden design.
Amenities at the property include two rooftop pool decks, eight dining and bar venues, and a spa with six treatment rooms, a hair salon, nail services, and a 24-hour fitness center. Dining options feature a collaboration with Major Food Group, offering a steakhouse, bar, speakeasy, pizzeria, rooftop bar, and café.
The hotel provides event space with two ballrooms and three additional meeting rooms, including the Ballroom de la Veracruz in the former Teatro Colón and the Ballroom Centenario in the restored Club Cartagena building. The property offers full-property buyouts for events.
Four Seasons Hotel and Residences Cartagena is the company’s third property in Colombia, joining two locations in Bogotá. The Cartagena opening is part of Four Seasons’ ongoing strategy to expand its presence in historic buildings in key destinations. Reservations for the new hotel are now available for stays beginning in spring 2026.
