Four Seasons has announced plans to open a new resort in Moganshan, China, in partnership with Zhejiang Shangyin Cultural Tourism Development Co., Ltd., with an expected opening in 2030.

Four Seasons, in collaboration with Zhejiang Shangyin Cultural Tourism Development Co., Ltd., has revealed plans for a new resort in Moganshan, China. The resort is scheduled to open in 2030 and will be located in Yu Village, offering 90 accommodations, including villas, suites, and guestrooms. The site spans 23 hectares and will feature direct access to natural hot springs, making it the first international luxury resort in the area to offer such amenities.

Moganshan, known for its bamboo forests and tea plantations, has been a popular travel destination since the 1800s. The location is accessible via high-speed rail and expressways from major cities, including Shanghai, Hangzhou, Suzhou, and Nanjing. The new resort aims to enhance the region’s appeal as a year-round destination.

The development will include four dining venues, a full-service spa with seven treatment rooms, and both indoor and outdoor pools. Additional facilities will feature outdoor pavilions for yoga and meditation, as well as areas for events. The resort’s design will be integrated with the natural surroundings to minimize its ecological impact.

This project is part of Four Seasons’ strategy to expand its presence in the Yangtze River Delta region of China. The company already operates properties in Hangzhou and Suzhou and plans to return to Shanghai. The Moganshan resort will complement these existing locations, providing guests with opportunities for multi-destination itineraries.

The partnership with Deqing County Cultural & Tourism Development Group Co., Ltd. aims to establish the resort as a leading destination in the region. The development is expected to contribute to the area’s tourism sector by offering new opportunities for wellness and exploration.
