The Oscar nominations are in! Netflix came away with well over a dozen awards, with Frankenstein and Train Dreams undoubtedly being the big winners with Best Picture nominations alongside a slew of creative nominations. Here’s your rundown of Netflix’s Oscar Nominations for 2026.
The Oscar nominations come a couple of weeks after the Golden Globes, where the streamer picked up 35 nominations across 13 films and 22 series, with three titles ultimately winning: KPop Demon Hunters picked up Best Animated Motion Picture and Best Song. Adolescence walked away with four awards, and Ricky Gervais: Mortality rounded out the streamers pickups.
Last year, Netflix won 3 awards from its 18 nominations, with Emilia Pérez, despite its campaign imploding, scoring 2 wins. Zoe Saldaña is picked up for Best Actress in a Supporting Role and Best Original Music for El Mal, Music by Clément Ducol and Camille; Lyric by Clément Ducol, Camille, and Jacques Audiard. The other award went to the documentary short, The Only Girl in the Orchestra.
Looking back, here’s Netflix’s Oscar nomination tally dating back to 2014:

Just ahead of the nominations, the clear favorites were Sinners and One Battle After Another (both of which would be under Netflix’s banner should its acquisition of Warner Bros. complete). The Netflix favorite for the awards this go-around was clearly Frankenstein, with Gold Derby ranking it fifth in line for Best Picture and a clear favorite for several creative awards. Train Dreams, while featured, was often featured further down their lists. Elsewhere, KPop Demon Hunters was tipped for the best song category as well as best animated feature. The Perfect Neighbor, Cover-Up and Apocalypse in the Tropics were among the top 5 favorites for best documentary, with All The Empty Rooms a top contender in the documentary short category.
