March Break is just one week away in Ontario! From March 10 to 14, school is out and fun is on. If you’re gearing up to get the kids out of the house, you don’t need to worry about dropping a lot of dough. There are plenty of free and cheap attractions running for March Break in Toronto, and we got em’ below.
Winter Stations
Woodbine Beach has transformed all its lifeguard stations into gorgeous art installations. On for the rest of the month, take a stroll and check out each piece one day during the break.

Riverdale Farm
Riverdale Farm feels like an escape from the city without actually having to leave, home to domestic farm animals such as pigs, horses and sheep. The farm is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is accessible to all, plus, admission is free!

Winter Magic
Celebration Square in Mississauga is still celebrating winter with twinkling lights, art installations and free skating on a massive outdoor rink!

Toronto Zoo
The Toronto Zoo is putting on a “Science Extravaganza” for March Break!
“Join us for a one-of-a-kind Science Show and event that will ignite your curiosity. With new experiences every day, there’s always a reason to come back for more,” says the zoo. The festivities will run from Sunday, March 8 to Sunday, March 16 and are free to attend with general admission.

The AGO
Admission is free for guests under the age of 25 at the AGO, a perfect place to spend a day during March Break. There will be an awesome interactive textile installation, plus all attendees get a free copy of AGO PLAY, an activity book with “artmaking challenges, scavenger hunts, puzzles, and more.”

Bata Shoe Museum
Bata Shoe is running free March Break activities with a purchase of a general admission ticket. “Daily crafts, games, and tours that are sure to keep kids and adults entertained all week long,” says the museum.

Toronto Public Library programming
Did you know that Toronto Public Library is offering free programming at select branches for March Break? There will be movie showings, magic shows and nature walks (just to name a few things).
