Dogs are known for the unconditional love and loyalty they show the humans in their lives, but it’s extra special to see the bonds they form with little ones in their family. There’s something really magical about the way that many dogs seem to be made for the job of big brother and big sister, and how protective they quickly become once a new baby enters the household. It’s not a one way street, either; so many babies easily become attached to their dogs, and from my own experience, I can say that it’s such a joy to watch that bond grow.
And while most little ones go straight to their parents when they need comfort after a fall, the little guy in the video below is looking for his dog to make his booboo all better.

Mom Emily Suttles shared this sweet TikTok video on Monday, November 18, proving that her toddler, Brooks, and her Husky are probably inseparable at this point. When most kids want kisses and cuddles from their dog, they probably go straight to the source… but this little boy is a bit more theatrical.
Instead, he pretended to bang his head on the wall, hitting it so gently and pretending to be hurt so his dog would have to comfort him. Mom played along and asked if Brooks wanted her to give him a kiss and make it all better, but he pointed at his dog instead and walked over to the pup, who was lounging on the couch nearby.
This Husky absolutely understood the assignment, and gave him a little smooch on the face, much to Brooks’ delight. What a good dog!
According to Mom’s caption, this happens a lot, and it’s easy to say why… but I’m willing to bet this dog would be very happy to offer up kisses even without the act.
And judging by the other videos that their mom has shared, it looks like these two have been best friends from the very beginning, and Brooks even held his big brother’s leash while riding in the stroller as they went for a walk. And even as Brooks has gotten older, this tradition hasn’t changed. He might be rolling in a wagon these days, but he’s still right there with his Husky as they adventure down the sidewalk with their mom.
Emily has also shared on TikTok that she’s expecting her second baby boy, so I just hope their dog is getting plenty of rest. He’s about to have twice as many booboos to kiss!
