'General Hospital's Cynthia Watros Has Message for Co-Star After Emotional Scenes

26 July 20252 Mins Read

General Hospital delivered some powerful scenes in a Friday cliffhanger involving Nina (Cynthia Watros) and Willow (Katelyn MacMullen). The fallout of Curtis (Donnell Turner) telling Willow that Nina and Drew (Cameron Mathison) slept together did not disappoint.

Following the emotional episode, which left fans wondering if Willow will marry Drew, Watros spoke about those powerful scenes. In an interview with TV Insider, the actress gave MacMullen mad props in a gushing message.

“Katelyn is so great. She does her work. She’s so good. She’s been excellent with this whole storyline, and she’s the most amazing, sweetest, loveliest person you can meet. So doing these scenes, it’s easy in one respect, because she’s so prepared, and she’s so on it, and it’s difficult in the other respect because I love her so much,” the actress shared with the outlet.

Watros admitted it was easy for her to get emotional because of her love for MacMullen. In fact, seeing the pain in MacMullen’s eyes as she reacted as Willow was difficult for her.

“It’s really easy and difficult at the same time,” Watros expressed.

X was on fire after the episode, with fans not feeling sorry for Willow at all, but agreeing with what Watros said about MacMullen’s acting.

“Katey’s killing it, but there’s no way Willow is now blaming *NINA* for her losing custody of her kids. Her finding new ways to pass the buck on accountability would be impressive if it wasn’t infuriating. #GH,” read one X.

Another X stated, “Katey MacMullen is doing great work, but I don’t feel sorry for Willow. #GH.”

“Let me be clear, I can’t stand Willow, I have much respect for Kate. She is doing a fantastic job as psycho Willow. #GH,” said an X.

Watros and MacMullen killed it in the aftermath scenes of Willow learning what happened with Nina and Drew. We can’t wait to see what these talented women do next on the hit ABC soap.

General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC.
