“Geno: The Ultimate Reality” is a story quest available in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4, but its first step is a mystery. When you look at the quest, all you’re given is “???,” so it’s not exactly clear how you’re supposed to progress. Additionally, you need to complete this story quest in order to use the “YourThoughtsAreMine” admin panel code and unlock the Void Master Geno outfit style.

‘Geno: The Ultimate Reality’ story quest walkthrough in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4
The “Geno: The Ultimate Reality” story quest has eight steps that you must complete:
- ??? (Eliminate six players)
- Talk to The Innovation, Jones, and The Order about Geno
- Find Geno’s memories from his past
- Visit an Override Console location to inspect Geno’s work
- Activate an override to understand how Geno’s machine works
- Extract 3 sprites so Geno can distill their magic essence
- Collect 8 Looper’s essence from eliminated players to power up a new override console for Geno
- Take down Geno and defy his commands to save The Order from her father

Step 1: ???
For the first step of the quest, all you’re given is “???,” and you know you have to do it six times. To complete the first step, you need to eliminate six other players. If you want to finish this as fast as possible, we recommend dropping into a high loot area or dropping from the battle bus immediately and following the pack. You’ll also naturally complete this step as you play, so there’s no rush!
Step 2: Talk to The Innovation, Jones, and The Order about Geno
For step two, you need to interact with The Innovation, Jones, and The Order, and specifically choose the “Ask about Geno” dialogue option. The Innovation can be found in Latte Landing, and Jones can be found just north of Golden Grove. The Order can be found in one of two locations: Chopped Shop or south of Reality’s Reign.
Step 3: Find Geno’s memories from his past
Geno’s memories are small blue orbs that can be found in the following locations:
- The Battlewoods: Between two fire pits in the northeast corner of The Battlewoods
- Mega Maze: At the entrance of the maze (west side) northeast of Sunken Shores
- Shaken Sanctuary: Found inside the bottom right corner of the triangular building at Shaken Sanctuary
Step 4: Visit an override console location to inspect Geno’s work
To complete this step, you need to walk up to any override console on the map. There are eight in total, and they don’t need to be active. However, it’ll be even better if they are, as you’ll see in the next step.
Step 5: Activate an override to understand how Geno’s machine work
For step five, you need to activate an override console. You can choose any of the offered hacks, but this does mean that you have to be the first person there. In our experience, the easiest way to activate an override console is to drop from the Battle Bus near the center of the map, and immediately glide above the purple tornado. Slowly glide in place and hope that a console turns on before you descend too far. Then, glide over to the console and activate it immediately.
To complete this step, we recommend stocking up on portable extractors, using the cheat codes found around the map to get a sprite, and quickly extracting them. Otherwise, you can also just play like normal and extract at any of the extraction sites. This doesn’t have to be completed in one match, so you can take your time with this one.
Step 7: Collect 8 Looper’s essence from eliminated players to power up a new override console for Geno
This step is similar to the first, but now this time, eliminated players will drop Looper’s essence, which looks like a red ball of fire. You need to collect eight Looper’s essence in total. Walk over it or interact with it to collect it.
Step 8: Take down Geno and defy his commands to save The Order from her father
For the last step, head over to the center of the map to face off against Geno. You’ll find him floating inside a red ball, and you just need to shoot him a few times. However, it’s important to note that Geno will immediately eliminate you after his speech. We recommend completing this part of the quest at the start of a game. The quest won’t finish right away though. You need to start another game and land to complete the quest.
